Looking out of the window of my studio the other day, I noticed a yellow rose blooming in the yard next door. This may not seem extraordinary to most people in the world, however, when you have recently experienced the most damaging hurricane in our nation’s history, a yellow rose becomes not only a sign of hope but also of nature rebuilding and healing itself.
As I pondered on this beautiful site, I came to realize that my business will never be the same. Flowers, that were once just an accent piece to a lovely gown, have taken on a significance that far exceeds the mind’s definition of peace, joy, and hope for the future. Flowers in our beautiful New Orleans will forever be an expression of all that is colorful, happy, and glorious in our great city. Magnolias, gardenias and wild irises as well as garden roses grace our precious homes and streets and speak a language that is soft and soothing to anyone who sees them. I don’t feel that there is any better way to use these precious blooms than in the joy of a union of a man and a woman as they start their lives together. Their textures, colors, and scents inspire me to create each wedding as a unique and creative expression.
As you look through my picture album, think of your inspiration. Perhaps a pink Cinderella Castle that you received when you were a child will serve as your inspiration. On the other hand, your motivation may come from a single tropical flower that you saw come up every year in your grandmother’s backyard. Whatever your dream, your knowledge of flowers, or creative ideas, I will make every effort to work with you and your family to create the wedding that fits your personality and tastes.
It is my sincerest wish that in 20 years as you look back at pictures and videos of your wedding that you will smile and feel the joy of the day all over again. I also hope that just as my little yellow rose brought me a sense of peace, that your days be filled with reminders that life goes on, rebuilds and heals itself. And this knowledge will strengthen you and your spouse to grow together in love.

May he always bring you Flowers…
